The inquiry into the missing child case revealed some shocking facts about the accused teenager. The boy who was himself a victim of sexual assault, has sexually assaulted more than 15 boys. Police suspect all of them could be minors.

The teenager stopped his education after Class VIII due to financial constraints of the family and started working in a pan shop near his house. He studied in the same school where he sexually assaulted and killed the 11-year-old boy on June 28.

During inquiry, he told the police that an year ago, two persons, Mohammed Ghalib and Mohammed Tala, lured him with money and sexually assaulted him. After that, he began targeting boys and sexually assaulted them. In the past one year, he sexually assaulted more than 15 boys. Police suspect that all of them are minors.

“He targeted boys from the surrounding areas and lured them with toffees, biscuits and cash of `10 and sometimes `20 also. He used the same school terrace where he assaulted and killed the boy to sexually assault most of his victims. He also used a couple of other places for his evil designs,” DCP South Zone V. Satyanarayana said.

The DCP said that they are trying to trace the two persons who sexually assaulted the accused in this case. They are also verifying with other children in the area if they had fallen prey to him.

“If they also come forward and lodge a complaint, we will register a case and all this evidence can be produced before the court against him,” the DCP added.

Police also found that the teenager, who is the seventh of nine children to his parents, also worked in Mumbai for a couple of months in a soda making unit.

Police said that the terrace on the second floor of the school building was his safe spot to carry out his unnatural activities, as the school is located in an isolated area and is surrounded by CRP campus, a hospital on both sides. The parapet wall on the terrace is also over three feet high due to which any person hiding beside it cannot be noticed by people from outside. The school campus is mostly isolated after 5 pm every day. The boy was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and shifted to correctional home.
