COPS BUST SEX RACKET, 3 RESCUED

Central Zone Task Force officials along with Saidabad police conducted raids on two brothels and rescued three female sex workers and apprehende­d four persons who arranged the meetings between the girls and the prospectiv­e customers. Officials recovered `33,610, 8 cell phones, and one car from their possession. The arrested were identified as T.U. Srinivas, 38, resident of Chaitanyap­uri in Hyderabad, V. Sai Kumar, 39, resident of Hayathnaga­r, M. Raju alias Nagaraju, 26, resident of Malakpet, and P. Sree Ramulu, 56, also a resident of Malakpet. Another suspect, Bhasker, the main accused, is still absconding. The raids were conducted based on tip-offs by the Task Force officials.

“During interrogat­ion, Srinivas and Sai Kumar confessed that they were running the brothel at Reddy Colony for the last two months by procuring female sex workers and girls from various parts of the country and paying `10,000 to `20,000 per week to them. The girls collected `2,000-`5,000 from each customer. The other two accused, Nagaraju and Sriramulu, confessed that they were running the brothel at Saleem Nagar in Old Malakpet for the last one month. They had taken the place on rent and they got the women from various states by paying them `15,000 for 5 days. The girls collected `3,000 to `5,000 from each customer per visit”, said the DCP Task Force, B. Limba Reddy.

While the accused were brought to court, the rescued victims were sent to a rescue home.

OFFICIALS RESCUED 3 women and recovered `33,610, 8 cell phones, and one car from their possession.
