REVANTH SAYS KCR HAUNTED BY CBI CASES

TD working president A. Revanth Reddy has charged Chief Minister K. Chandrasek­har Rao with indulging a “drama” on the GST issue only to get himself cleared from CBI cases.

Mr Revanth Reddy, who was speaking to mediaperso­ns along with TD leaders, alleged that Mr Chandrasek­har Rao while he was Union labour minister in the UPA regime was involved in scams related the constructi­on of an ESI hospital. The CBI had filed a case against him in 2011, he claimed.

He alleged that officials who worked with Mr Chandrasek­har Rao at that time had turned approver before the CBI and informed that they had cooperated with contractor E. Suryanaray­ana on the instructio­ns of Mr Chandrasek­har Rao.

He said CBI officials ahd visited Hyderabad thrice in 2015 and inquired with the Chief Minister.

He said the CBI was also investigat­ing into Mr Chandrasek­har Rao’s decision to exempt Sahara India from depositing the management share of Provident Fund into the employees account.

He leader said these two CBI cases were serious and fearing this Mr Chandrasek­har Rao had started supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in all his decisions.

“Now, he is enacting a drama of approachin­g Supreme Court on the 12 per cent GST,” he said.
