BOY ENDS LIFE OVER TIFF WITH SENIORS

- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, AUG. 29

Gripped by fear after being told by teachers to call his parents to discuss a quarrel between seniors and juniors at the hostel, a second year intermediate student committed suicide in Bachupally on Tuesday. Vemulapalli Nagasaikiran hailing from Nizamabad district hanged himself at the Narayana Junior College Hostel.

Police said Nagasaikiran was studying BiPC second year. A few days ago, some students of II year and first year quarrelled in the hostel. The issue came to the notice of the hostel managemen. They told the students who were involved in the quarrel to come with their parents, when they return after Ganesh Chathurthi holidays, so that the students can be counselled in the presence of their parents.

On Monday Nagasaikiran reported at the hostel alone. The college management called his father Vamshidhar and asked him to come to the college, but since he was busy, he told that his brother-in-law Venu, who stays in Jeedimetla, will meet them.

“When contacted Venu informed the management that he cannot come on Monday and said that he will come on Tuesday and meet the hostel authorities,” SI P. Nagaraju said.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, while his two other roommates went down for breakfast, Nagasaikiran hanged himself on the ceiling. His friends rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead.

Based on a complaint from his father, a suspicious death case was registered.
