Man posts wife’s obscene pics, held

-

Cyber Crime Police arrested a man for sharing wife’s intimate photos with her brother when she refused to withdraw the case she filed in Visakhapatnam court regarding their divorce.

The man, identified as C. Sunil Kumar, a government employee and resident of IOCL township in Odisha was arrested after Cyber Crime sleuths. The officials managed to track him using his call data records and his IP address among other technical evidence from Paradip in Odisha. Sunil was married to the victim in 2007.

According to the police, the wife’s brother, a resident of Serilingampally, lodged a complaint in August that Sunil Kumar had sent him private pictures of his sister on WhatsApp and from a fake email ID as well when they refused to his demand to withdraw a case she had filed in a court in Visakhapatnam.

The case was filed for a grant of maintenance after Sunil had filed an appeal seeking divorce from her.

“While the matter was still pending in court, Sunil approached his wife and her brother and asked them to withdraw the case since it could result in him losing his job. However, when they refused, he allegedly started speaking ill of his wife and even threatened her,” said the police. On August 11, he sent an obscene video of his wife to her brother on WhatsApp, apart from sending private screen shots of her to him from a fake email id that he had created himself.

“Pointing out that the pictures were derogatory, her brother requested action,” police added.

He was brought to Hyderabad on a transit warrant and produced before court which remanded him in judicial custody on Monday.
