Train engine catches fire

Hyderabad: A train engine caught fire in the early hours of Tuesday at Lingampall­y. Timely interventi­on by the railway staff brought the situation under control. Officials from South Central Railway (SCR) said that Kurnool Intercity passenger train was sent to Lingampall­y station at 3.30 am for halting after it dropped passengers at Secunderab­ad. When the train reached the station, the engine caught fire and the driver informed the railway control room. Due to this incident, SCR reschedule­d all local trains.
