SRISAILAM FLOODGATES TO BE OPENED

The floodgates of the Srisailam dam will be lifted on Thursday morning to release around one lakh cusecs of water downstream of Nagarjunasagar. TS and AP have been releasing water downstream through the power generating stations.

AP state water resources minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao arrived at the dam on Wednesday night. After conducting pujas, he will operate the floodgates and release water into the Krishna.
