NGT MOVED ON BISON POLO CASE

A resident of the Secunderabad Cantonment has filed a petition with the National Green Tribunal to prevent the government from building a new Secretariat at the Bison Polo Ground.

“Residents have been protesting for long to save Bison Polo Ground but the government does not seem concerned enough to witdhraw the antienvironmental proposal, hence we decided to approach the NGT and appeaed for a stay on any construction,” said Mr Krishank Manne.

A complaint has been raised on the redressal portal of the NGT. The protesters are now planning to approach the NGT at Delhi to hear the case.
