Emirates mishandled luggage

-

Iwent to Iraq and Iran on a pilgrimage by Emirates flight Hyderabad-Dubai (EK 525) and Dubai-Baghdad (EK 943).

On reaching the Baghdad airport, I could not find my bags there. The authorities then gave me an apology letter for this.

Soon, I left for Kerbala which is about 300 km from Baghdad. After two days, I contacted an Emirates employee, Aziz, at the Baghdad airport regarding my baggage.

He asked me to mail the details to the mishandling department of Emirates and gave me the id mhbbgwek.emirates@emirates.com which I did on October 5.

My father, meanwhile, contacted the Dubai airport where they said that the baggage was at still at Dubai airport because no onward journey specified by Hyderabad airport.

Because of entire incident, me and my group of 11 people had to suffer a lot.

The elderly persons with us, some of who are diabetic also faced a tough time.

We found was the it hard to arrange for their medicines due to the language barrier. There didn’t have our winter clothes with us and we were also short of cash.

The 20 days were full of problems for us. On returning to Hyderabad, nobody could explain why my baggage was mishandled.

I want justice and demand compensation for all the troubles I had to face. Marziya Abedi From Dubai airport
