REVANTH REDDY MELLOWS DOWN ON TDLP MEETING

-

Sulking TS TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy, who has been stripped off his party posts, on Thursday failed to hold TD Legislature Party meeting at the Assembly. He abstained from the TDLP meeting convened by TS TD president L. Ramana in a private hotel along with BJP leaders.

Interestingly, Congress legislators Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar welcomed Mr Revanth Reddy at the entrance of the Assembly premises with warm hugs.

He went to his room but did not sit in the chair meant for the TDLP leader and left after spending a few minutes in the office.

Mr Revanth Reddy later accused Mr Ramana of hobnobbing with the TRS. “My fight is against the TRS and KCR, why is there any objection to that? When the has made it clear numerous times that it will go alone in TS in next elections, why are TD and BJP leaders holding joint meetings?,” he said.

Mr Revanth Reddy added that it was now clear that he was removed from the TS TD posts that at the behest of TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Meanwhile, AP Chief Minister and TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu will reach Hyderabad early on Friday. He would meet Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to condole the death of his mother.

He is likely to meet TS TD leaders later, and bring some clarity on Revanth Reddy episode.
