Security beefed up for GES delegates

The authoritie­s are leaving no stone unturned for the security of the Global Entreprene­urs Summit (GES) delegates. The special buses, which will ferry them for three days, will have armed police accompanyi­ng them and the hotels, where they will stay, are under the close surveillan­ce of the police.

To provide them best transporta­tion facility, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporatio­n has arranged 80 AC buses, including Garuda, Garuda Plus and Vajra. The Telangana State Tourism Developmen­t Corporatio­n (TSTDC) has chipped in with Volvo buses. An official from the transport committee of the GES said that each bus will have two guides from the TSTDC and one from TSRTC. They will be supported by two armed reserve police.

“The bus route is confidenti­al and will have police bandobust. The TSTDC has reserved 1,400 rooms with 20 prominent hotels in the city and additional forces with striking capabiliti­es are deployed at these hotels and at the Hyderabad Internatio­nal Convention Centre (HICC),” an official said.

A Purushotha­m Naik, executive director of TSRTC (Greater Hyderabad zone), said that all the 80 AC buses in spare and would not impact the regular services.

Mr Komuraiah, regional manager of RTC, said “We have completed the trail runs for these 80 AC buses,” English-speaking drivers, guides and police will be used for the duty.
