9 held for possessing Gutka

Hyderabad: Nine men were apprehended by the Medchal police for possessing banned tobacco products at Gowdavelly in Medchal on Sunday night. According to the police, the main accused, has been identified as Uppala Kiran Kumar, 42, who manufactures tobacco products along with his friends and workers, Sonu Verma, 21, Pankaj Pandey, 47, Jitendra Kusva, 36, Lokesh Misra, 40, Ajay Raj, 20, Kukka Ram, 21, Daru Ram, 20, and Ram Nivas, 22, who are natives of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The total amount of gutka seized was an estimated `20 lakh.
