- DC CORRESPONDENT GUNTUR, NOV. 26

Telugu Desam national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the TD will work for the development of the Telugu people of AP and Telangana.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the foundation laying programme of the partly built TD national office in the 3.60 acres at Atmakur of Guntur district on Sunday.

The CM conducted a Bhoomi Puja at the site and was accompanied by minister for IT, N. Lokesh and others.

He said that the TD national office would be completed in six months and the training programmes to TD leaders will be held in the new office.

Addressing the TD cadres, Mr Naidu said that TD’s top priority was serving and helping the Telugu public. In this context, Mr Naidu spoke about the services of the TD during the earthquake in north India in which the party shifted pilgrims safely to their native places.

He said that the TD honoured all religions and all sections of the society. The CM added that a fund would be started to offer free meals to the TD cadres and public at the TD national office.

He claimed that the TD is the only national party which implemented welfare schemes for its cadre and also initiated leadership training programmes.

“One thought can change the world,” he said and pointed out how internet had changed the world and made it into a global village.

He asked his party members to make good use of technology to strengthen the TD from the village to national level by serving the public.

Mr Naidu said that he wished to see Telugu people in top places in all fields and said that it was possible to achieve this through innovative thinking, technology, discipline and effective leadership.

He said the TD government had gradually resolved the difficulties of AP state after bifurcation and was now striving for the swift development of the new AP state.

Talking about the starting of central command control for real-time governance, he said that at one time technology was used to provide employment to the educated and now the state government was using technology to serve the public better and working towards creating a prosperous society.

Mr Naidu said that the TD was instrumental in the advancement of Telugus in the Silicon Valley in America and appealed to party cadres to donate at least one rupee each for the construction of the TD national office.
