Parking woes galore at temple

-

Although, it is regarded as one of the popular temples in Hyderabad, Sri Ganesh Temple in Secunderabad is plagued by parking problem due to which many visitors shy away from visiting the temple.

The temple is located right on the main road between Rathifile bus station and Secunderabad railway station. Lakhs of people, including students, employees, passengers and public walk on either sides of the road, leaving little space for devotees to park their vehicles.

Although some space has been alloted for parking on the opposite side of the road, it is narrow and possible only for twowheelers to park there.

Lack of parking facility is proving to be a big disadvantage and affecting the footfall, noted the temple authorities. The temple committee chairman said that they are focusing on solving the parking woes.

“Right beside the temple is the two-wheeler parking area of Secunderabad station. A letter was submitted to railway authorities to build another entrance next to temple for devotees to park their vehicles,” he said.

ALTHOUGH SOME space was given on the opposite side of the road, it is narrow and possible only for two-wheelers to park.

THOUSANDS OF people walk on the either sides of the road making it difficult to park vehicles.
