The Centre has asked the Telangana state government to send the annual report for the financial year 2017-18 on various schemes sponsored by it.

In a letter to the TS government, deputy secretary of coordination in the Central government, Prem Anand said that the report must contain actual progress up to the end of November 2017 and forecasts of progress for the remaining months of the current financial year.

The report must also contain special efforts made to bring about systemic changes in administrative procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency, transparency, and public image.

The Deputy Secretary said that in past years despite several reminders the requisite materials for the annual report were not furnished.

He said that the report should contain a separate chapter on activities of the Vigilance unit as requested by the Central Vigilance Commission.

Also required is a statement indicating names of private and voluntary organisations that have not submitted utilisation certificates of grants received by them for more than three years.

The Centre also wants overall progress of public sector undertakings and autonomous bodies highlighting the outstanding achievements or shortfalls etc. The Directorate of Estimates must include information regarding the number of out of turn allotments made in each category.
