ADULTEROUS COPS CAUGHT IN THE ACT

An inspector of Kalwakuthy police in Nagarkurno­ol was slippered by the husband of a fellow officer who caught the two together in his house. Inspector Y. Mallikarju­na Reddy, who is also married, was charged with adultery, trespassin­g and criminal intimidati­on.

The woman officer is additional SP of the ACB. Her husband had been away from for a fortnight, but returned on Sunday at about 11.30 pm, after being tipped off by the watchman. He found everything normal and went off but returned at 2.30 am to find his wife with Inspector Reddy.

The inspector rushed out of the flat but was caught by a family member of the woman officer and was badly beaten up with chappals!

Alerted to this drama by passersby, the KPHB cops rushed to the spot, but could not do much as it was a family dispute.

Based on husband's complaint with DCP Madhapur, a case was registered at the KPHB police station against the inspector.

The husband told the police that Mallikarju­na Reddy had trapped his wife and entered into an affair with her. He admitted to being suspicious of his wife and checked her Whatsapp conversati­ons and chats. The couple had difference­s and had been staying apart often.

“A case is registered. We are collecting all evidences and CC footage at the apartment. A detailed report will be sent to SP, Nagarkurno­ol, for action.” said Mr Vishwapras­ad, DCP Madhapur.

According to sources, while Mallikarju­na Reddy is likely to face suspension, the woman officer may be relieved from her posting and attached to the headquarte­rs. “Though there may not be legal action, as she is considered a victim, there may be action on grounds of moral conduct,” the source said.

BASED on a complaint by the husband with DCP Madhapur, a case was registered at the KPHB police station against the inspector.
