3 HELD FOR THREATENING BIZMAN
The Asif Nagar police arrested a three-member gang that threatened a businessman and seized two swords from them. Police booked cases against them for criminal intimidation, extortion, house trespass and under Arms Act.
The accused were identified as Zaid Bin Naser alias Zahed, 29, a salesman from Attapur, Mohammed Ali, 22, a salesman from Rajendranagar and Khaja Ghouse Uddin, 29, an auto-rickshaw driver from Rajendranagar, said the police. Two suspects, Abdullah Chawoosh and Mohammed, are absconding.
The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by the businessman Mohammed Nadeem from Muradnagar with the Asifnagar police alleging that the gang had come to his house armed with weapons and threatened him. Police suspect previous enmity led to the incident.
The accused were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody.
