WOMAN KILLED IN FIRING AT LOC

A woman resident was killed as the Pakistani troops once again violated ceasefire by targeting forward positions and civilian areas along the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts by firing mortars and small arms on Saturday evening and Sunday, officials said.

They said that a 65-yearold woman, Parveen Akhter, was injured after a mortar shell fired from across the border landed near her house, in Poonch. She died before she could be taken to hospital.
