Rape-accused MLA untraceable

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh police on Sunday launched a manhunt for Congress MLA Hemant Katare, accused of raping a journalism student, by raiding his houses and business premises. The MLA, however, has so far remained untraceable, police said. Members of a special task force, constituted to probe the charges of rape leveled against him by the girl along with countercharges of blackmailing made against her by the legislator, conducted the raids.
