Jana Sangh Chief Upadhyaya murdered

NEW DELHI, FEB. 11. Jana Sangh president Deen Dayal Upadhyaya died early this morning under tragic circumstances near Moghalsarai Railway Station, while going by train from Lucknow to Patna. Mr Upadhyaya was murdered. It was officially confirmed here late tonight.

The death of the 51-year-old Jana Sangh leader, who was travelling in the 52 Down Sealdah Express was shrouded in mystery until the official confirmation.

His body was found lying about 200 yards from the outer signal of the station at about 03-30 hours. The body was taken to Varanasi for post-mortem. According to the post-mortem report the cause of death was due to
