UPADHYAYA DEATH PROBE

-

VARANASI, FEB. 12. A big team of State and Railway intelligence police today began an inquiry into the mysterious death of Jana Sangh President Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, whose body was found on the Railway track near Moghalsarai Railway Station yesterday.

Uttar Pradesh Government finger print expert Sidique Ali, inspected the site where the body was found. He is stated to have found some blood stain marks on an electric mast, a few yards from the spot. His inquiry today was however, hampered on account of the delay in the arrival of the sealed first class compartment, which, Mr Upadhyaya boarded at Lucknow, on Saturday. The bogey is being brought back from Calcutta. The Railway intelligence team staged a mock incident to determine the likely positions a person would be found in after falling from a running train. Railway Police official said a man could not possibly be in the posture in which Mr Upadhyaya was stated to have been found, if he had fallen from the train.

According to a high Railway Police official a man could not possibly be in the posture in which Mr Upadhayaya was stated to have been found, if he had fallen from the train.
