PM, Shah to hold massive rallies by Feb. end

Bengaluru: After Congress president Rahul Gandhi, during his recent tour of Hyderabad-Karnataka, launched a full fledged attack on the ruling BJP at the Centre it is the turn of the BJP to hit back. Leading the charge for the saffron party will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, who will be arriving in the state next week to launch a poll blitzkrieg.

After Congress president Rahul Gandhi, during his recent tour of Hyderabad K ar nat aka, launched a full fledged attack on the ruling BJP at the Centre claiming ‘they had an RSS man planted in every ministry,’ it is the turn of the BJP to hit back. Leading the charge for the saffron party will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself and BJP national president Amit Shah, who will be arriving in the state next week to launch a poll blitzkrieg.

Mr Modi, who during his earlier visit to the state, had described the Siddaramai­ah government as ‘a 10 per cent commission’ government, and Mr Shah will participat­e in public rallies, announced BJP state general secretary and Udupi Chikkamaga­luru MP, Shobha Karandlaje. Speaking to media, she said Mr Modi will address rally at Mysuru on February 19. He will also inaugurate railway projects and visit Shravanabe­lagola to attend the Ma ham as takabh is heka event of Lord Baahubali.

Mr Shah will focus on the coastal districts and will arrive at Kukke Subramanya Temple on February 19. After addressing students of Vivekanand­a College in Puttur on February 20, he will attend the Navashakti Samavesha in Bantwal. He is also scheduled to visit the residence of Deepak, a BJP worker who was slain recently, at Katipalla. He will address a fishermen rally at Udupi on February 21 and visit the Udupi Krishna Mutt and temple.

On February 21, Mr Shah will reach Uttara Kannada district and visit the residence of murdered party activist Paresh Mesta besides addressing party workers at Kumta. On February 22, Mr Shah will visit Haveri, Hubballi-Dharwad and attend a Scheduled Caste workers meeting at Haveri. The party has also organised an OBC rally at Raichur on February 24.
