CITY GEARING UP TO HOLD ANOTHER MEGA EVENT
IN BRIEF
Hyderabad is all set to host yet another prestigious event, the 21st edition of the National Conference on e-Governance, from February 26 to 27 at HICC.
The session, which would have 1,000 delegates, is being organised by the Centre’s Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) with the ministry of electronics and information technology and TS government.
This would be the second time the conference was being held in Hyderabad, when it was held in Vishakapatnam last year. The conference theme was ‘Technology for accelerating development.’ It would have plenary sessions based on the themes building user experience, universalisation and replication and governing e-governance and emerging technologies.
At the curtain raiser Ms. Vasudha Misra, additional secretary in the department of administration reforms, pensions and grievances, said, “We will be discussing emerging technologies like block chain, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence with emphasis on how they can improve governance and provide better services.”
The e-governance awards would be given to 19 initiatives for excellence in government process re-engineering, citizen-centric service delivery, innovations in government departments and district level initiatives.
