T App, a one stop shop for 150 services

By 2019 TS aims to provide 1,000 services of various departments

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Out to simplify the process to access government services, TS has launched the T App Folio which provides about 150 government and non-government utilities. The services could be accessed using mobile phone, web browser, IVR, SMS and USSD. IT minister K.T. Rama Rao launched the app on Wednesday.

While ESD is the first department to use the platform and integrate Mee-Seva services, other apps like T Wallet, myGHMC, RTA mWallet and HawkEye could be accessed through the app. TS is the second state to bring such a platform for aggregation of apps, the first being Karnataka.

It had a single signon feature with which one login id could be used to access all applications. It is available in Telugu and English for both iOS and android phones. Mr Rao said, “Through this app, governance is being provided at fingertips. TS is first in the number of e-transactions and this marks a new era in mobile governance.”

By next year, the government hopes to provide 1,000 services. Moving forward, it intends to onboard all mobile apps of its various departments to the T App Folio. TS DGP M. Mahendar Reddy said, “We have integrated Hawk Eye app in the folio. TS police have similar aggregation of apps called TS-COP which will soon be implemented across the state.” Though Union government had Umang app, an aggregation of services, it provided billing and information services. The unique feature of the T App folio was the facility to draw certificates from the app. It would soon be integrated with the civil supplies department app. Currently, the app displays static pages of Hyderabad Metro, which would soon be integrated with the Metro app.

Mr Rao said, the new folio would not impact the business of Mee-Seva franchise. Mee-Seva franchises will be given exclusive services .
