YSRC’s no-trust vote on March 21

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The YSR Congress did not move no-confidence motion against the Central government on Monday as announced by its leader Botsa Satyanarayana. Instead, it was expected to move the motion on March 21 over failure to grant Andhra Pradesh special status.

In fact, YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan announced that his party MPs would move the no-confidence motion on March 21 and resign on April 6.

But Mr Satyanarayana announced on Saturday that the party would move the motion on Monday (March 12) instead of March 21 as announced earlier.

Party MP Y.V. Subba Reddy said they will move no confidence motion on March 21. He told Deccan Chronicle that they had started consultations with other Opposition parties to get support for the motion.

Another member Rajamohan Reddy said the no motion was not in the party’s hands since it required the support of 50 MPs to make way for a discussion in the House. He said that as per the decision taken by the party earlier, they would resign on April 6 which “is in our hands.”

YSRC Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy said TD MPs also should support the no-confidence motion.
