TS Council meeting in new chamber

The ongoing Budget Session of the Telangana Legislative Council will be held in a new chamber (where sittings of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council were held previously) from March 13.

This decision was taken following repairs being undertaken in Telangana Legislative Council at present.

A notification to this effect was issued by Dr V. Narsimha Charyulu, secretary to the State Legislature, on Monday.

Assembly sources said that this was a temporary adjustment in view of repairs.

Meanwhile, speculations did rounds from afternoon that Telangana government was taking over premises that were used by the AP government for council meetings until they shifted to Amaravati few months ago. The Telangana government requested the Andhra Pradesh government to hand over buildings in Hyderabad in view of them shifting to Amaravati and this was followed by series of meetings chaired by Governor.
