JUSTICE P.V. SHETTY

Karnataka Lokayukta P. Vishwanath Shetty was on March 8 stabbed with a knife at least four times in his office by a youth apparently unhappy over his request being turned down. Justice Shetty was operated upon for his stab wounds. The blood collected in his chest had to be removed and he is out of danger. The incident raised questions over security at the office of the Lokayukta. With Karnataka going to polls, this has now become a political issue.
