IN BRIEF Only 1 diagnostic centre opened

Hyderabad: In a reply to the question in the Assembly, it was informed that only one diagnostic centre has been started in Hyderabad by the government, under the hub and spoke model for free diagnostics under the TS diagnostic scheme. In this centre, 19,044 diagnostic tests have been done till date. The state government is planning to start 20 more central laboratories under the National Health Mission and the proposal for the same has been given to the Union government. These labs are to be started in all the districts.
