Women, child issues top priority: Sajjanar

Mr V.C. Sajjanar has taken charge as Commission­er of Police for Cyberabad.

A1996 batch IPS officer and former Inspector General of Police for State Intelligen­ce Department, in his 22 years of his career in the police service, Mr Sajjanar has donned different roles in almost all the districts of Telangana.

On his first day of office, Mr Sajjanar said, “Tackling women and child related issues would be the top priority of my department officials. We would also be tracking down the gangsters who are operating within the area and will ensure that necessary action is taken against them.”

He also emphasised on developing his forces to focus on cybercrime­s and human traffickin­g cases which have become frequent in the state.

Adding further, Mr Sajjanar said, “We would also develop a system which would facilitate speedy disposal of court cases and ensure that we strengthen our bonds with IT and other industries in the region so that we can collective­ly work towards developing security networks to benefit the employees and the organisati­ons.”

The new Commission­er of Police also promised to develop 24x7 citizen service to ensure all the concerns of the public are taken care of in the best possible way. He also said that he would soon come up with a system where he would reward the distinguis­hed services of his team members as an encouragem­ent for them to strive to provide best services to the citizens.

The Commission­er also said that he would be ready with the action plan to tackle the crimes with his team within the next 10 to 15 days.
