- DC CORRESPONDENT

Rumours regarding SSC question papers having leaked, which emerged after an invigilator was caught photocopying a question paper, created a flutter on Monday.

However, the SSC Board denied that the paper had leaked and suspended the errant invigilator for malpractice. Two cases of malpractice and two cases of impersonation were reported, and one invigilator and one chief superintendent were relieved of their duties on March 17.

Two incidents were reported in Adilabad and Mahbubnagar districts on Monday. An invigilator was caught photocopying the English Paper-I question paper at the ZPSS Tadihadapanoor examination center in Nomoor (M) in Adilabad district. The chief superintendent, the departmental officer, and the addl. departmental officer of the centre and the invigilator concerned were suspended.

In another incident, a person jumped over the compound wall, reached a window where students were sitting, and took a copy of the question paper at the ZP High School in Mahabubnagar district. All the examination staff at the centre were relieved of their duties, and a case was registered against the culprits.

According to the SSC Board, both incidents amounted to malpractice, but the question paper had not been leaked. Tomorrow’s English Paper-II examination will be conducted as scheduled, according to the director of school examination.

An invigilator from the ZP Suryapet District High School in Nutankal was suspended and another from Centre B of the ZP High School Nutanltal was relieved of his duties due to dereliction of duty.

The director of school examination, B. Sudhakar, has asked all district educational officers in the state to conduct the remaining examinations strictly and carefully.
