A Kochi-based student Rohan Mathew, a CBSE student of class X also prayed for a probe by a high powered committee to fix responsibi­lity for the lapses in the conduct of the examinatio­n. Mr. Srivastava said considerin­g that there is a strong possibilit­y of other question papers of Class 10th and 12th also leaked and circulated online, apart from the question papers of economics for Class 12th and maths for Class 10th, it is in the interest of justice to conduct re-examinatio­n of all the papers of Class 12th within four weeks. This is further required keeping in view a situation that in future if upon further investigat­ion it is revealed that the question papers of a few more subjects were leaked then the initiation of fresh process for conducting the re-examinatio­n of those subjects will New Delhi, March 31: The Class 12 Hindi (elective) question paper being circulated on the social media was fake, the CBSE said on Saturday and urged the people not to spread rumours regarding the paper.

The CBSE is scheduled to hold the Class 12th Hindi examinatio­n on April 2.

“A fake question paper of Class XII Hindi hamper and adversely affect the valuable time and career prospects of many students appearing in CBSE Class 12th Examinatio­n this year, the petition said.

He submitted that in view of the fact that many of the students appearing in this Class (Elective) (enclosed) is being circulated on social media i.e. WhatsApp, YouTube etc.,” the CBSE said in a release. It added the ‘question papers’ were either of a previous year or fake.

“Hence, it is requested not to circulate the news about these fake papers, so that the students and other stakeholde­rs are not misled,” the release said. — PTI 12th examinatio­n are also slated to appear in various competitiv­e examinatio­ns, it is further in the interest of justice to direct the CBSE to carefully fix the schedule of the said Class 12th reexaminat­ion in such manner that the dates do not clash.
