Real hero thanks Juventus fans

-

Turin (Italy), April 4: Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked the fans of Juventus for their generous applause for his overhead bicycle kick goal which helped Real Madrid gain a three-goal advantage over the Italians.

“For me it was an unbelievable moment,” said Ronaldo.

“I have to say thank you a lot — grazie — to all the Juventus supporters. What they did for me was amazing,” Ronaldo told UEFA.com.

“It (ovation by rival fans) had never happened to me in my career before,” the Portuguese forward added.

“It was a great goal, fantastic,” continued the 33year-old who became the first player to score in 10 successive Champions League games, with his tally 14 goals this season and 119 in total.

“Step by step,” he warned of talk about a third straight Champions League title.

“I think we should think about the second leg. Anything is possible in football, so let's think about that second leg and let’s see what happens.”

Ronaldo has scored some sensational goals in his career. There were the thundering longrange strikes for Manchester United against Porto and Portsmouth, and the backheels against Valencia, for Real, and Hungary, for Portugal.

There were also the goals he delivered when it mattered most, for Portugal in the World Cup 2014 play-off against Sweden, and a hat-trick for Real in last season’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Atletico Madrid.
