Residents irked with contaminated water

- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, APRIL 21

Despite the tall claims of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board of providing regular water supply, residents in the heart of the city have complained that they have been facing a drought-like situation. Worse, residents have also claimed that apart from irregular and limited water supply, the water that they receive is murky and contaminated for the first 15 minutes, after which it clears up. When, despite repeated complaints to the local office the situation remained unchanged, the residents complained to higher authorities. So far though, the situation remains the same.

Sharing his experience, Naveen Kumar, with CAN No 052316586, said, “For the past one month, the residents of Baghlingampally near the Hanuman Temple Lane have been getting insufficient water supply. The Area Manager Mr Suryanarayana Reddy is telling some cock and bull stories. I received a text message saying, ‘Sir, complaint with token no 1068 is generated. Intimated to Baghlingampally Area
