Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said should the Congress come to power in 2019, an enquiry will be ordered against “government corruption” and that nobody will be spared, including the family of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking to the media on Friday at Gandhi Bhavan, Reddy alleged that hundreds of acres of valuable land are being allotted to companies at cheaper rates, adding that while the debts of the people of Telangana are rising, the assets of the CM and his family are increasing, and the CM is travelling abroad in a private plane.

Reddy said the government, led by Telangana Rashtriya Samity (TRS), has allotted 15 acres of land at Madhapur to Hetero Drugs Company at a cheaper rate, and said the company was given `40 crore as subsidy. Similarly, he alleged that the Wolf Son group of companies was allotted about 800 acres, and "crores of rupees" given as subsidy.

He said the company was allotted 150 acres and Rs 40 crore subsidy, while in another order, the same company was allotted 500 acres in Rangareddy district, and `80 crore subsidy at 10% of the capital. He said in addition, these companies are allowed interest subsidy, subsidy in power supply and 100 % GST subsidy, and asked who "the suitcases from these companies" were meant for.

The TPCC president also alleged that Industries Department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan is cooperating with industries minister K.T. Rama Rao in corrupt practices, and asked the government the reason for not replying to Congress MLA A. Revanth Reddy's allegations on the Metro trail to Shamshabad.
