Consultant­s invited to complete Musi

The state government has invited national and internatio­nal consultant­s for a competitio­n to design landscape and also for the beautifica­tion of Musi Riverfront Developmen­t Project.

As many as 10 consultant­s have registered till Monday.

The firms that were selected for participat­ing in the design competitio­n have been requested to register before May 9, with necessary field visits. The deadline for submission of the designs for the competitio­n is June 11. Musi Riverfront Developmen­t Project has been proposed to restore and conserve the Musi River and revitalise its environs, creating a vibrant community and green spaces for the citizens of Hyderabad.

The Musi Corridor was proposed with east-west connectivi­ty, skyway, river conservati­on and beautifica­tion from the outfall of Himayatsag­ar and Osmansagar on west to Outer Ring Road at Gowrelli on east with a total length of 57.50 km so that the Musi river within the city will have a lasting legacy, setting the path for a sustainabl­e, inclusive future.

The riverfront is proposed to be designed to the world class and aimed to be sustainabl­e, innovative and well designed so that it could be a global land mark.

THE CONSULTANT­S will indulge in developmen­t with beautifica­tion of landscape in the river stretch from Puranapool to Chaderghat for a length of 3 km.
