Repairs to Ivanka road picks speed

DC CORRESPOND­ENT Over 70 per cent of the ‘KTR-Ivanka Trump Road’ located near the St John’s Church in Secunderab­ad has been recarpeted.

Residents had repaired a portion of the road and renamed it after minister K.T. Rama Rao in protest.

Residents had pooled `4,000 to repair the road. After the protest got wide publicity, the GHMC called for tenders and began repair work.

Also in East Marredpall­y, residents took to repairing a stretch of road in the Secunderab­ad Cantonment jurisdicti­on and called it ‘KTRNirmala Sitharaman Road’ to goad officials into action.
