Canadian PM jokes about all things that didn’t go well on trip
Ottawa, June 2: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made light of his not so pleasant trip to India while cracking several jokes about the things that went wrong during the visit.
The trip became a talking point for the wrong reasons. While his choice of attire became a subject of social media derision, there were controversies about his government's dalliance with Canadian NRI groups that are antithetical to India's territorial integrity.

TRUDEAU’S CHOICE of attire was derided on social media. politicians to do their stand-up comedy act, were photographs of the minister of state for agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekawat welcoming at the airport.
The move, widely seen as an insult to the visiting dignitary was termed as a “very big deal according to Lord Macaulay and Kency Johnson from Eye Politics”.
Referring to a photograph of him meeting Infosys CEO Salil Parekh who “for the record announced investments in Canada” he chided the media for not reporting the same.
Showing the photograph of his meeting Bollywood superstar he said, “Wow, one of us is clearly embarrassed at being under dressed. How embarrassing for him”. Trudeau was dressed in a sherwani while Shahrukh Khan was wearing a suit.
Pointing to the photograph where the family was writing in the guest book at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial in New Delhi and his youngest son is showing disinterest, Mr Trudeau said, “This was the point where he totally gave up on the trip. No! Sunny ways strike again.” — Agencies
