Himalay, Om tower on Day 1
Himalay Agarwal and Om Prakash Gaat hogged the limelight on the opening day of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s 2018-19 season by turning in sterling performances on Tuesday.
Himalay hit an unbeaten century while Om took seven wickets in different matches of the top division three-day league.
Himalay smacked 17 boundaries and a six in his 125 not out that came off 275 balls to guide Sporting XI to 272 for 3 against BDL. The onedown batsman was in complete control during his innings in the GroupA match.
In Group-B, right-arm mediumpacer Om ran through the batting lineup of Gemini Friends with figures of 7 for 55 to bundle them out for 179. In reply, Hyderabad Bottling were 71 for 2 in 24 overs. Brief scores:
