SIX START-UPS PICKED BY ANTHILL VENTURES

Six media and entertainm­ent start-ups have been shortliste­d by Anthill Ventures in partnershi­p with Suresh Production­s, for the Anthill Studio. During this three-month programme, start-ups will be provided with support and mentorship to increase their customer base, generate more revenues and help raise investment­s up to $1 million each.

The selected start-ups are ComicFlix, NewsPlus, Recosense, Saranyu, Scapic and Woodcutter. The startup accelerato­r programme was launched in February and has received over 150 applicatio­ns from 11 countries. The selected start-ups will work with subject matter experts and coaches from Anthill Ventures and Suresh Production­s, to collaborat­e with and enhance their solutions. The start-ups will have opportunit­y to work and scale up under the aegis of actor Rana Daggubati and Anthill founder and CEO Prasad Vanga.

Rana Daggubati said, “We have always been looking at more entertaini­ng ways of telling stories. Media like VFX that have amplified the way of storytelli­ng has always interested us. The addition of recent technologi­es like AR/VR will help in elevating the level of entertainm­ent. We look forward to accelerate the selected technology companies for the programme with direct market access and live projects.”

Mr Vanga said, “We have been tracking the growth of emerging technologi­es in the media and entertainm­ent industry that have huge potential to disrupt this space. We will scale them with speed to the global markets as they will work on real use cases and deploy their products in real client engagement­s through our tailored accelerato­r programme.”
