According to informatio­n gathered from the GHMC, the erstwhile MCH had furnished a requisitio­n to acquire 47 acre, 32 guntas for constructi­ng weir for protection from Musi floods and the current MGBS and Salarjung Museum have been constructe­d.

This area includes Survey no. 7 to an extent of 3 acre, 8 guntas and Survey no. 13 to an extent of 3 acre, 13 guntas of Thotaguda village in the erstwhile Musheeraba­d, present Nampally mandal.
