4,600 properties geo-tagged in city

The recent study revealed that the GHMC had lost more than `100 crore over the last decade on account of nonrenewal of leased properties.

THE CORPORATIO­N has geo-tagged 1,376 community halls out of a total of 2,990 properties.

IT HAS also geotagged 310 playground­s, 823 parks, 1,356 open spaces, 14 sports complexes, 599 toilets and 131 `5 Annapurna counters.

As a part of geo-tagging exercise, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporatio­n has completed the geo-tagging of 4,609 properties.

The GHMC has recently embarked on a survey which brought to focus the 599 markets and 751 commercial complexes it had leased for a period of 25 years.

That apart, the civic body has also leased out 1,519 markets and 121 commercial complexes for a period of more than 25 years. However, though it has identified 2,990 properties after verifying its records, the civic body was clueless about the renewal data of all its leased properties.
