Hyderabad: In less than three weeks, another flesh trade racket involving seven minors has been exposed in Telangana’s temple town – Yadagirigutta. The Rachakonda cops carried out multiple searches and rescued seven minors and booked five traffickers belonging to a single family who forced minors from economically poor backgrounds, into prostitution.

According to the police, the traffickers took advantage of poverty and purchased each girl for a price ranging between `30,000 and `60,000 from their families across various districts of Telangana. This apart, Shankar Kamsani, who was booked under PD act, played a middleman by adopting orphan children, nurtured them until they reached puberty and forced them into prostitution.
During the search operations, the cops visited residential areas in Yadagirigutta, where they cracked down on 7 brothels and rescued seven minors.
Each house had one girl allocated for the flesh trade. The Rachakonda police has identified the accused as Kamsani Ramya, Kamsani. Kali, Kamasani. Bhagya, Kamsani. Neela,and Kamsani Durgamma. All belong to a single family.
Zonal DCP Ramachandra Reddy said, “The children were frightened when we broke into the brothels, no customer was found during the searches. During questioning, the girls were unable to trace their original residences. They are clueless on how they were brought into these houses. Apart from prostitution, the girls have shown signs of physical harassment. All seven have been sent for rehabilitation”.
So far, 24 suspects have been arrested for trafficking, out of which three are already facing the PD Act.
The Yadagiri police have also rescued 24 victim girls and seven brothels have been seized under the provisions of the ITP act. Even the remaining brothels were also seized after obtaining orders from the RDO.
