As per Election Commission instructions, political posters, banners, and advertisements on all government properties have to be removed in 24 hours after the elections are announced.

Similar material from public places also has to be cleared within 48 hours.

Even private properties, which lack official permission or have objections from people, have to be cleared of political posters and banners within the next three days.

“Within 72 hours, all the district election officers will give me a list of work which has been grounded so that in future if there is a complaint that new works have been taken up we will use this list as the basis,” Mr. Kampati said.

PRIVATE properties, which lack permission from the officials or have objections from people, have to be cleared of political posters and banners within the next three days.
