WELSPUN EYES EASY TO LAY FLOOR TILES

-

Welspun Flooring seeks to disrupt people’s preferences for flooring by the introduction of an easy-to-lay tile options. The products will be rolled out in April 2019 after the Mumbaibased company launches its workshop on the outskirts of Hyderabad in April 2019.

“Our manufacturing plant will be ready soon. The products will be launched in April 2019,” said Mukesh Savlani, CEO of Welspun Flooring, adding that their tiles would disrupt the market.

At the Hyderabad plant, Welspun will manufacture new flooring products like stone plastic composite tiles, carpet tiles, wall-to-wall carpets and artificial grass. “The flooring has always been a time consuming process in the country. But these products will help us complete the flooring in a few hours and allow us to change the flooring as we wish,” Mr Savlani said.

Currently, the Indian organised flooring market is worth `40,000 crore — this excludes a large unorganised players in marble and other stone-based flooring.

Though currently most multinational companies are using these tiles by importing from other developed countries, Mr Savlani said the company would have flooring products for all categories of customers.

He said the total investment outlay for Hyderabad is `1,200 crore and the plant can produce 3 times the initial output without any expansion.
