BJP first list out, fields its Dalit face from Andhole

The BJP Central Election Committee on Saturday announced its first list of 38 candidates for the December 7 Telangana state Assembly elections, fielding TS party chief Dr K. Laxman from his Musheeraba­d constituen­cy.

Mr Babu Mohan has been fielded from his native Andhole constituen­cy, he is expected to be the Dalit face of the party. He had left the TRS on being denied a ticket last month.

The BJP has stated that it would contest all 119 Assembly in the state.

The BJP also released its first list of 77 candidates for the Chhattisga­rh Assembly polls and 13 candidates for Mizoram.

The list was finalised at the BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting that was chaired by party president Amit Shah and attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi among others. The list is as follows:
