TD vows jobs to martyrs’ family

The Telangana TD has announced that it would provide a job to one member from the families of

1,200 Telangana martyrs besides a residentia­l plot and `10 lakh financial aid after coming into power in

2018 elections in the state. Telangana TD president L. Ramana and senior leader Ravula Chandrasek­har Reddy, while releasing the party’s manifesto for the Telangana Assembly elections, said that after coming into power they would turn Pragati Bhavan into a general hospital. The party also promised to create one lakh jobs in the state if voted to power.

The party also promised to give a grant of `3,000 to each unemployed youth and `2000 pension to people with disabiliti­es, senior citizens and widowed women.

The manifesto also stated that it would spend

`15,000 crore annually on improving the health and nutrition of pregnant women. Free bicycles for students from Class 8 to

12, renovation of Dharna Chowk, free laptops for students pursuing Intermedia­te and other studies, 5,000 crore for government hospitals, implementa­tion of SC/ST sub-plan as well as BC and minority sub plan.

The TD leaders also promised a stadium in every constituen­cy to encourage sports activities of youth and children.
