DKS says no chance of hung Assembly

Karnataka minister D.K. Shivakumar said the People’s Front led by the Congress would form government in Telangana state and there would be no question of a hung Assembly.

He was reacting to former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s prediction­s while speaking to mediaperso­ns at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday.

He said Congress president Rahul Gandhi and TD supremo and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrabab­u Naidu would decide the Chief Ministeria­l candidate after the elections as well as the roles of the allies in government.

Former Union minister Jitin Prasada said Chief Minister K. Chandrasek­har Rao’s family was ruling the state.

He asked why VAT was not removed on petrol and diesel in the state. He said once the Congress came to power, the price of fuel would be reduced.
