Corporator­s demand `2cr developmen­t fund

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporatio­n corporator­s on Saturday demanded ward developmen­t fund of `2 crore. Gudimalkap­ur corporator Bangari Prakash raised the issue and later the demand was raised by all corporator­s in the council hall. Reacting to the demand city mayor Bonthu Rammohan said that the issue has been taken to the notice of Municipal Administra­tion and Urban Developmen­t principal secretary Arvind Kumar and would be resolved at the earliest.

AIMIM corporator­s including Pathergatt­i corporator Syed Sohail Quadri said that the corporatio­n had halted the Charminar Pedestrian­isation Project (CPP) for a year, as result about livelihood of several hawkers have eked out. He said that though the property owners were ready give their buildings for acquisitio­n, the GHMC officials were not acquiring them.
