NEGLIGENT DOCTORS
Forgetting forceps in a woman’s abdomen by NIMS doctors is an act of gross negligence (Doctors forget forceps in the abdomen,
Feb. 10). This incident once again highlights the negligent attitude of doctors towards economically poor patients. If this kind of incidents repeat, people would lose faith in the government hospitals. The government must take stringent action against those responsible for this incident and must make it mandatory for patients to undergo X-ray screening before and after surgery.

The negligence of the doctors could have costed the woman’s life. Who is responsible for the mental and physical torture of the woman who had to go through this. She needs to be compensated for the trauma and the government must take an immediate action against those irresponsible. Fatima Zafar Secunderabad
