TD WILL GET 2ND CHANCE TO RULE AP: LAGADAPATI

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has predicted that AP is not going to witness a hung Assembly result and exuded confidence that the ruling TD would get another chance to rule the state.

Coming to the Centre, the former MP said that no party was likely to get a majority at the Centre and added that a hung Parliament was likely to be witnessed this time. He also said that NDA would get close to the magic figure.

Speaking to media persons in Tirupati on Sunday, Mr Rajagopal announced his exit polls survey results, in which he predicted that TD would bag

90 to 110 (100 plus or minus

10) Assembly seats in the state, while the Opposition YSRC might emerge second yet again and would get 65 to 79 (72 plus or minus 7) seats and other parties would bag 1 to 3 seats, out of the 175 Assembly seats in AP.

Predicting the Parliamentary elections in Telangana state, he said that the TRS would get 14 to 16 seats, while the prime Opposition Congress would get 0 to 2 seats. In AP, he predicted that the TD would win 15 (plus or minus 2) seats, while the YSRC would get 10 (plus or minus 2) seats and other parties have chances to win 0 to 1 seat only.

“As Telangana state has a surplus budget, the people have chosen the Car, whereas in AP which has a deficit budget, people have gone with the cycle,” he said. Adding further to his survey, Mr Rajagopal said that his predictions came out of his own calculations and was based on a scientific survey, carried out by his team.

“No survey could yield

100 per cent factual results. I have been doing surveys for the past 15 years as a hobby. Our teams carried out surveys at 110 to

120 constituencies, in which we collected 1.5 lakh people’s opinions, 1,220 at each constituency. But, for the factual reports, people have to wait till May 23,” he maintained.
